Operating Theatre Technical Associate

Job Description: To receive, sort and decontaminate soiled instruments from Operating Theatre and outpatient clinics. Selecting the appropriate cleaning method to ensure instruments are processed safely and without damage. Inspect surgical instruments for functionality, defects or breakage before assembling. Assemble, pack and ensure accuracy of instruments and sets according to specifications and to document items packed. Load, unload instruments/sets and ensure safe operation of all sterilization equipment in accordance with established procedure. Sterilization quality assurance must be adhered and interpreted to ensure that items are sterile. Maintain required documentation for work processes. Maintain proper storage,check and replenish supplies and consumables Pack and return sterile items to respective department. Assist with inventory of equipment, instruments and supplies. Performs other duties as assigned by senior staff. Job Requirements: GCE ‘N’ Level or Secondary education and able to read and write in English WSQ Higher Certificate in Healthcare Support (Sterilization Services) or 1 - 2 years’ relevant experience is preferable
