About this role

About the Job The Research Fellow will join the MediaTek-SUTD Joint Lab to lead and shape the research agenda, oversee R&D activities, and build and manage high-performing research teams. The role will define research directions, drive publication strategies, mentor researchers, foster collaboration with academic and industry partners, and ensure the successful execution of research programs in advanced communication systems. Who We're Looking For PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Communication Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Proven track record of research contributions in wireless communication technologies, including peer-reviewed publications and/or patents. Experience in research team management, project coordination, and cross-site academic-industry collaboration. Deep understanding of mobile communication systems and standards (3G/4G/5G/6G), with a strong publication record in one or more of these areas. Expertise and demonstrated research contributions in areas such as AI for wireless communication, satellite communication systems, or energy engineering for wireless networks. Experience securing research funding, managing research programs, and building academic partnerships. Experience with RF technologies. Experience with CUDA coding for GPU acceleration is a plus. Strong leadership, communication, and documentation skills.
