About this role

The Senior Manager is to report to the Management Council, Managing Director and Deputy Managing Director. This role provides strategic leadership in advancing the Association’s mandate for Coastal Protection, sustainability, and industry capability development under the LEAD IV programme. It entails driving high-impact initiatives that strengthen Singapore’s coastal and climate resilience, enhance industry competencies, and foster innovation across the water ecosystem. The position leads the Coastal Protection Chapter, cultivates strong collaborations with government agencies, industry partners, and research institutions, and promotes the adoption of global best practices in shoreline management and environmental stewardship. Through visionary planning, stakeholder engagement, and effective programme execution, this role positions the Association as a national thought leader and trusted partner in coastal protection and sustainable industry growth, contributing meaningfully to Singapore’s long-term water security and climate adaptation goals. Role & Responsibilities: Operations & Industry Capability • Lead ESG, digitalization, and capability development initiatives to strengthen the water industry ecosystem. • Manage strategic engagement with PUB, government bodies, institutions, and industry partners to advance collaboration and advocacy. • Execute high-impact industry events, overseas missions, and strategic forums to elevate SWA’s profile and member value. • Drive membership growth, operational excellence, and leadership accountability to ensure long-term sustainability. Coastal Protection & Flood Management (CPFM) • To spearhead the Coastal Protection Roadmap, strengthening climate resilience and sustainability planning for Singapore’s water industry. • Drive association operations aligned with Singapore’s water sustainability and coastal protection priorities. • To partner with government agencies and global stakeholders to advance ESG initiatives and international alliances. • To manage large-scale industry events, forums, and delegations to enhance collaboration and visibility. • To collaborate with supporting government agencies and support initiatives through scalable platforms.
