Deputy Managing Director

I) Position: Deputy Managing Director The Deputy Managing Director is to report to the Management Council and Managing Director. Responsible for the successful execution of all events and activities of the Association, assisting the MD in ensuring all programme deliverables are met. This includes overseeing daily operations, administration, and finances, while driving strategic initiatives to advance the Association’s mission. The role involves fostering strong stakeholder relationships, championing innovation and digital transformation, and promoting sustainability. Additionally, it requires a proactive approach to identifying growth opportunities, optimizing resources, and maintaining high standards of service and efficiency. The position also focuses on talent development, performance monitoring, and enhancing member engagement to support the Association’s goals and impact. Role & Responsibilities: • Oversee the Association's overall operations, strategic direction, financial management, governance, membership development, advocacy, and organisational performance. • Lead the development and delivery of key programmes, digital transformation initiatives, Secretariat operations, and industry-focused initiatives across the municipal water, industrial water, coastal protection, and sustainability sectors. • Build and strengthen strategic partnerships with statutory boards, including PUB and ESG, as well as government agencies, industry associations, and international stakeholders to advance Singapore's water sector. • Ensure the Association's long-term financial sustainability through prudent budgeting, effective cost management, revenue diversification, and the development of new business and sponsorship opportunities. • Drive membership growth and engagement through strategic partnerships, sponsorships, capability development programmes, professional certification and training, major industry events, international trade missions, and business networking initiatives.
