Job Summary Ensure safe and compliant vessel operations by managing navigation, training, crisis response, and regulatory adherence. Provide technical maritime expertise and collaborate with authorities to uphold operational excellence and environmental standards. Responsibilities Operate vessels consistently following SOPs, operations manuals, and company/client policies during marine operations, berthing, and mooring Review navigational and vessel handling assessments to design and optimize systematic training programs that meet company and client operational requirements Develop and implement crisis management plans to mitigate risks and coordinate with authorities during incidents, accidents, or investigations Ensure compliance with international maritime laws, regulations, and conventions to maintain legal and regulatory standards Collaborate with local authorities to align operations and training documentation with Singapore’s industrial and recommended standards Provide technical advice on ship construction, general arrangement, deck, and bridge systems to support maritime operations Maintain quality and standards for vessel platforms, Officer-on-Watch assessments, safe navigation, and vessel command Participate in maritime incident investigations and contribute to work-related inquiries to improve safety and operational procedures Review and plan sailing routes for drills, day/night sorties, and actively participate in sea sorties as required Implement environmental regulations and best practices to minimize the vessel’s ecological impact in line with international standards Support marine training initiatives by providing expertise and guidance on training-related matters Required competencies and certifications Master Mariner STCW qualification, supported by GMDSS and STCW Basic Safety Training Certificate of Competency (CoC) Class 1 with at least three years of sailing experience within Singapore Port Limit (SPL) Ship Security Certificate Familiarity with the International Convention on Standards of Watchkeeping, Training, Certification, and Seafarers Experience in maritime risk auditing and incident investigations STCW Advanced Fire Fighting Certificate Valid health certificate Proficient in English, both oral and written Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
