Project / Site Engineer

Responsibilities Assist in the overall execution of site works and ensuring timely progress of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status Monitor the work progress on daily basis and push for work progress with the appointed subcontractors Assist to prepare internal and external reports pertaining to project status Evaluate project progress and prepare detailed reports Collaborate with design team and engineers regarding the design and cutting lists and shop drawings Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques Assist to obtain required permits and licences Ensure compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports Timely submission of progress claims to the client/main-contractor Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed Evaluate sub-con progress and certify claims accordingly Assist procurement team with negotiation of contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations Requirements Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering Minimum 5 years’ experience in Façade Design/Engineering, Curtain Wall & Aluminium Cladding Good project management and coordination skills ensuring project completion timeline are met promptly Good communication skills essential for team-based working Highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges Good time management habits and ability to multi-task Core interest in the façade industry with emphasis on detailing and engineering Analytical problem solving Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD and Staadpro
