About the Role At Slalom, we help organizations harness the power of data, cloud, analytics, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies to drive business transformation. Our Data Engineering team designs and delivers modern cloud-native data platforms that enable advanced analytics, machine learning, and Generative AI solutions. As a Data Engineer – Consultant, you will work alongside architects, engineers, data scientists, and client stakeholders to build scalable data platforms and pipelines that help organizations unlock value from their data. A hands-on engineering role focused on building cloud-native data platforms, developing scalable data pipelines, and enabling AI and analytics capabilities for clients. What You’ll Do Build and optimize cloud-native data pipelines and platforms across AWS, Azure, and GCP. Build data pipelines and enable robust, governed data foundations for AI and ML workloads. Support GenAI-ready data architectures, content processing, and knowledge retrieval solutions. Apply best practices in software engineering, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. Work with cross-functional teams, participate in workshops, and contribute to a culture of learning and improvement. What You’ll Bring 3–5 years of experience in Data Engineering or related technical disciplines. Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP). Strong programming skills in Python and/or Java. Experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, Synapse, or equivalent. Experience with data integration, data transformation, and orchestration tools. Strong SQL and data modelling fundamentals. Knowledge of software engineering practices and DevOps principles.
