Building Construction Engineer

Manage, design, develop, and maintain construction projects from conception through completion Conduct on-site investigations and analyze data including maps, reports, tests, drawings, photographs, and surveys Prepare detailed blueprints and designs using computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D Carry out technical and feasibility studies to assess project viability and structural integrity Assess potential risks, materials, and costs, and prepare accurate budget estimates Ensure projects comply with legal requirements, health and safety standards, and zoning regulations Liaise with architects, subcontractors, consultants, clients, and government officials throughout project lifecycle Monitor project progress and compile regular status reports Oversee and mentor staff while managing project resources and timelines Prepare and submit permit applications and technical documentation Develop comprehensive plans for repairs, maintenance, and replacement of existing infrastructure Perform quantity calculations and adjust designs for practical and budgetary purposes Inspect project sites to ensure compliance with codes and proper construction progress
