About this role

SSHF Insights is a Singapore-based proprietary trading firm focused on discretionary CTA strategies. As we continue to grow and explore strategic opportunities, including M&A, strategic partnerships, reverse takeovers, and other capital market initiatives, we are seeking an experienced Director of Corporate Development to lead our corporate growth agenda. Responsibilities Develop and execute the firm's corporate development and strategic growth strategy. Identify, evaluate, and lead M&A, strategic investment, joint venture, and partnership opportunities. Lead transaction processes, including financial modelling, valuation, due diligence, transaction structuring, negotiation, and execution. Manage relationships with investment banks, corporate finance advisors, lawyers, auditors, tax advisors, investors, and strategic partners. Evaluate potential reverse takeovers, listed shell acquisitions, and other capital market transactions. Support the firm's strategic planning, business expansion, and long-term value creation initiatives. Lead or coordinate post-merger integration and other corporate development projects. Prepare investment papers, Board materials, financial analyses, and transaction proposals for senior management and the Board. Monitor market trends, industry developments, and strategic opportunities relevant to proprietary trading and alternative investments. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline. MBA, CFA, CA, CPA, or equivalent qualification is an advantage. 10+ years of experience in corporate development, M&A, investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, corporate finance, or financial services. Proven experience in financial modelling, valuation, due diligence, transaction structuring, and deal execution. Experience in alternative investments, hedge funds, proprietary trading, CTA strategies, or financial services is highly advantageous. Experience with reverse takeovers, listed companies, SGX transactions, or capital markets is preferred. Strong commercial acumen, analytical ability, negotiation skills, and stakeholder management capabilities. Strong understanding of Singapore's corporate, regulatory, and capital markets environment. High level of integrity, confidentiality, discretion, and professional judgment. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a commercially minded corporate development professional with strong M&A and transaction execution experience, excellent financial modelling and valuation skills, and the ability to identify and execute strategic opportunities that support SSHF Insights' long-term growth.
