Job Summary The Business Manager, WRB COO will work in close partnership with the COO, WRB, delivering comprehensive support across a range of areas, including strategy, performance management, communications, project management, event coordination, and governance. This is an active, hands-on role that requires close collaboration with the WRB COO Management Team and key stakeholders across our markets and the wider WRB organisation, ensuring the effective execution of both immediate priorities and longer-term strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong business acumen, an in-depth understanding of the WRB landscape in our key markets, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to think independently and manage competing priorities with confidence. Key Responsibilities Strategy and Performance • Support the COO, WRB in the articulation and delivery of strategic initiatives to develop and grow the WRB COO priorities in support of WRB. • Develop framework and target operating model to drive implementation for key strategic initiatives, enabling timely and disciplined progress. Translate strategic objectives into actionable plans with clear milestones, KPIs, and accountability. • Formulate key work streams and identifying the tasks across the global COO team. • Coordinate across all businesses/functions within the WRB COO organisation to follow-up on the business priorities. • Lead the end-to-end performance management cycle, including target setting, tracking, and reporting. Provide forward-looking insights and challenge business assumptions to improve outcomes Business • Develop, manage and refine key management materials, including Strategy, Business reviews, Cost reviews and key management information • Support delivery of the business agenda and collective agenda across markets and performance targets • Work widely across the WRB COO organisation to develop and prepare key management reviews and information required • Prepare briefing notes, speaking notes and supplementary research ahead of key meetings. • Undertake specific business projects and ad-hoc requests as they arise day-to-day, in areas such as costs, transformation, culture and employee engagement • Support and manage agenda for COO WRB team meetings, ensuring meeting materials are submitted on time and decisions and actions are documented and tracked to completion • Organise overseas visits and coordinate logistical matters as required Transformation & Change Initiatives • Support COO-led transformation programmes, including operating model changes, restructuring, and capability build-out. Develop cadence or operating rhythm to enable smooth and timely progress of strategic programme, if required. Track delivery against strategic initiatives and identify risks, dependencies, and course corrections • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives, ensuring alignment across Operations, Risk, and Technology teams • Track delivery progress and benefits realisation Communication • Support the COO, WRB communications agenda, working with CABM on development and execution to ensure effective communication of key messages across WRB business and functions • Prepare speaking notes and presentation materials for internal and external speaking engagements People & Talent • Organise employee engagement events like townhalls, leadership meetings, offsites to drive alignment of shared objectives across business and functions • Work with HR Business Partner/team to drive people agenda for COO, WRB organisation • Support talent, conduct, culture, and diversity & inclusion initiatives in WRB Stakeholder Management • Act as a central coordination point across WRB COO, Risk, Operations, Finance, and HR • Support senior stakeholders in preparing for key meetings and decision forums • Build strong working relationships across geographies and functions Governance • To support governance by ensuring the business plans, decisions, and reporting align with the Bank’s policies, controls, and accountability requirements.
