Project Manager

Job Summary The Project Manager leads overall project performance and represents the company on-site, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality delivery of construction projects while managing teams and stakeholders. Responsibilities Manage and oversee day-to-day construction activities to ensure smooth project execution Develop and implement cost-effective plans to complete projects on time and within budget Lead site construction teams to maintain workflow efficiency and project progress Monitor construction productivity, schedule, and performance; investigate issues and recommend improvements Manage subcontractors to ensure compliance with contract requirements and quality standards Liaise with authorities, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve project-related matters Enforce workplace safety standards, rules, and regulations throughout the construction site Implement safe work procedures and environmental control measures on-site Provide administrative assistance and logistical support during construction working committee meetings held between 9am and 11pm on working days Required competencies and certifications Proven experience managing complex construction projects with strong cost, quality, and schedule control Solid understanding of project management processes, contract management, and site coordination Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills to manage multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines Preferred competencies and qualifications Degree in Architecture, Civil/Structural/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Building Science, or Quantity Surveying with 3 years relevant post-graduate experience in building construction Diploma in Architecture, Civil/Structural/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Building Science, Building Management, or Building Services Engineering with at least 8 years relevant experience, preferably on past HDB projects
