Production Supervisor – Specialty Chemicals - Location: Singapore | New plant setup – Pioneer role | Permanent role | Production Leadership About Our Client Stemgenic is proud to be partnering exclusively with a growing international specialty chemicals manufacturer establishing a new manufacturing facility in Singapore as part of its Asia-Pacific expansion strategy. The company is recognised globally for its expertise in high-performance polyurethane, epoxy, silicones, adhesives, sealants, and advanced material technologies — supporting industries such as e-mobility, energy storage, automotive electronics, industrial systems, and electrical engineering applications. Role Summary A highly hands-on production leadership role supporting the establishment of production operations within a new specialty chemicals manufacturing environment in Singapore. Lead from the front during commissioning, startup, and operational ramp-up. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day production activities including mixing, batching, filling, packaging, and material-handling operations Supervise and develop production operators and technicians Support production startup, commissioning, and operational ramp-up activities Coordinate closely with Quality, Warehouse, Maintenance, and HSE teams Monitor production schedules, operational efficiency, and safety compliance Support troubleshooting, equipment checks, and operational improvements Ideal Background Production Supervisory / leadership experience within batch manufacturing - plant environment within Chemical / Coatings / Paint / Construction chemicals / flavors / fragrances and related speciality chemicals plants. Hands-on operational mindset with willingness to lead from the front Comfortable supporting future shift-based operations Candidates with greenfield experience/plant startup experience will have an advantage Additional Note This is a hands-on, small-team manufacturing environment rather than a large-scale DCS or control-room operation. The work will involve dissolvers, mixing vessels, blending, compounding, and recipe-based production. The supervisor will be expected to actively support production activities, including handling raw materials, working with powders, filling and mixing according to approved recipes, and occasionally lifting or moving bags weighing up to 20 kg.
