Job description We are seeking a proactive, strategically minded Public Affairs Associate to join our Government Relations & Public Affairs team in Singapore. Reporting directly to the Country Lead, you will execute our local public affairs strategy, manage key stakeholder relationships, and drive initiatives that enhance the company's visibility and reputation. In this role, you will own public affairs projects, analyze complex regulatory landscapes, and support engagement with government bodies, trade associations, Chambers, and internal cross-functional teams to position the company as a trusted industry leader. Key responsibilities: Policy Research & Monitoring: Monitor and track legislative developments, regulatory changes, and political news relevant to the company’s business interests in Singapore. Conduct background research on emerging topics to help the team anticipate risks and opportunities. Briefing & Content Preparation: Draft clear, concise briefing notes, policy summaries, meeting minutes, and presentations for leadership. Help develop and refine written content that aligns company priorities with public sector interests. Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate and facilitate engagement opportunities with government organizations, trade associations, industry associations, embassies, Chambers, and other public sector entities. Maintain and update the team's stakeholder database. Event & Project Support: Plan, execute, and manage logistics for high-profile events, roundtables, workshops, and other engagements aimed at building strong relationship capital. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Gather information and collaborate with internal business units to support unified messaging. Market Intelligence: Conduct deep-dive market research and competitor benchmarking to identify emerging advocacy trends, threats, and opportunities within the local ecosystem. Requirements: Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in public Affairs, Political Science, Economics, Communications, Business Administration, Law, Social Sciences, or a related discipline. Organized & Strong Attention to Detail: Methodical with sharp attention to detail in writing, information tracking, and logistics. Clear Communicator: Strong written and verbal skills; able to simplify complex information into concise briefings; able to prepare convincing arguments with evidence. Resourceful self-starter eager to learn, adapt, and handle diverse tasks. Ability to work smoothly with internal teams and external partners. Proficient in MSOffice; experience using Canva is a strong plus. Additional Pluses: Interest in the semiconductor industry, geopolitics, or experience working with the Singapore public sector ecosystem is highly advantageous.
