Position Purpose: StoneX Asia Credit team is looking to expand its current trading team with the addition of an experience trader. This hire will contribute to further product diversification, enhancing our customer offering and supporting continued growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit trading, from either buy or sell side, with a deep knowledge of both Asia/US credit markets. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to promote the firm’s wider product suite and help drive growth and innovation. Primary Accountabilities/Responsibilities: Manage trading book under mandated limits. Thorough product and market knowledge across IG credit. Work collaboratively with global sales teams to grow franchise. Work with internal development teams to grow electronic business. Assist in developing strategies to prudently expand the business. Broadening depth of desk coverage and product offering. Interact with clients and provide real-time market updates. Utilise electronic platforms to facilitate trades. Provide institutional solutions to deepen existing relationships, drive new client opportunities and grow profitability. Business travel for client and prospect meetings, as well as client entertainment. Maintain prompt and regular attendance. Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Business, Finance or Mathematics preferred. Minimum 5 years Credit trading experience. Proven record of trading profitability. Must have equivalent regional qualification as MAS; M1A, M2A, M6* & M6A*, FCA Approved Person, FINRA Series 7, 63 and 57 licenses. *Exempt if degree or professional qualification in finance in evidence. Strong communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills. Evidencing the highest-level of Integrity. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Proficient with Bloomberg and OMS Platforms. Strong analytical skillset, able to display sound judgement and commercial mindset. Strong work ethic, with an emphasis on attention to detail. Willingness to travel to visit clients. Understanding of the current regulatory environment and the impacts of regulatory change on this business and its client base. Able to work within a team structure, but able to operate autonomously to lead initiatives and provide complex solutions to client base. Desire to work as part of a broader global team across disparate geographies. Multi-lingual a strong plus, but not required.
