Nacelle Specialist (Chief Engineer) At Paya Lebar, Up To $16,000 (Office Hours)

- 3-year contract + 2-year renewal (not permanent) - Up to $16,000 - Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5.30pm - Paya Lebar We are seeking a highly experienced Nacelle Specialist (Chief Engineer) to lead a nacelle OEM design program. This is a confidential search for a senior leadership role that will oversee the design, development, certification, and support of nacelle systems for large-body aircraft (comparable to Airbus A350 and Boeing 787). This position requires proven technical authority in nacelle design, including inlet (with anti-icing system) and thrust reverser , as well as strong leadership capabilities to guide and mentor a team of 80–100 engineers. Responsibilities: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the nacelle engineering team. Oversee design and development of nacelle components, ensuring compliance with FAA/EASA certification standards (CAAC advantageous). Lead program milestones including PDR, CDR, testing, and prototyping . Establish nacelle work scope, framework, and mitigation plans within the first 6–12 months. Collaborate with engine OEMs and strategic suppliers to ensure technical quality and program success. Drive continuous improvement through fleet performance monitoring and technical enhancements. Period: 3-year contract + 2-year renewal (not permanent) Salary: Up to $16,000 Working Hours Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5.30pm Location: Paya Lebar Requirements: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering. 15–20 years’ experience in nacelle design, development, and certification. Prior nacelle-specific experience is mandatory. Strong knowledge of FAA/EASA certification (CAAC experience is a plus). Skilled in project management and engineering tools (CATIA, Ansys, MSC).
