Commercial Solutions Engineer - Maritime Consultancy

Overview We are partnering with a well-established maritime consultancy company to identify a Commercial Solutions Engineer to support their commercial and project growth activities. This role sits at the intersection of technical sales and client engagement, focusing on delivering tailored engineering solutions within the offshore and marine space. The ideal candidate enjoys client-facing work, has a solid technical foundation, and is comfortable working across both commercial and engineering teams. Regional travel will be part of the role. Key Responsibilities Engage with clients to understand technical, operational, and project requirements Develop and propose suitable engineering solutions aligned with client needs Prepare quotations, proposals, and supporting technical documentation Conduct technical presentations, solution briefings, and client discussions Work closely with engineering and project teams to ensure smooth execution and delivery Provide both pre-sales and post-sales technical support Maintain and grow strong relationships with existing clients Identify and develop new business opportunities within assigned markets Follow up on quotations and support deal closure activities Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and client requirements Gather customer feedback and provide insights to internal teams for continuous improvement Support local and international travel for client engagement and business development Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience in sales, business development, technical sales, or engineering support Diploma or Degree in Engineering or related discipline Experience in offshore, marine, or industrial sectors will be an advantage Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written) Mandarin proficiency is an advantage for regional client interaction and document review Comfortable with client-facing responsibilities and business travel Possess a valid driving license preferred
