Resident Architect

The Resident Architect (RA) is responsible as a Consultant’s Site Representative Resident Architect (RA) to supervise and monitor and report on the contractors’ work to ensure work methodology and workmanship are of satisfactory standards by witnessing all inspection, testing and commissioning sessions to make certain compliance to designs and contractual specifications. JOB DESCRIPTION Work closely and supervise the Resident Technical Officer on architectural works. Ensure work is carried out in accordance with the design intent, specifications, and quality of works as specified in the terms of the contract and are in accordance with the Authority’s and/or Agencies' requirements. Ensure timely clearing of submission of shop drawings, technical submittals and material samples including the civil & structural and coordinated combined services model (CCSM) by the contractors and assist to review them to ensure compliance with the design intent and specifications. Raise Request for Variation Order or In-Principle Approval to Client immediately upon the occurrence of the change. Coordinate with Project Manager (PMgr) on daily updates and weekly reports on the work progress and issues on site, including necessary checklist and documentation. Maintain proper records of all site files on project correspondences, documents and drawings for easy retrieval and reference. Prepare and update the list of outstanding / non-compliance works for submission to the Architect / Management for discussion during site meetings on regular basis. Work closely with the Entire Site team including the Resident Engineer (RE) on the day-to-day site operations. Attend all coordination meetings, take notes and maintain the records of such meetings and report weekly.
