We are seeking a dedicated and experienced EHS Officer to oversee workplace safety, health, and environmental compliance across our construction projects. Key Responsibilities * Ensure full compliance with the Singapore Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act, WSH (Construction) Regulations, and all applicable Codes of Practice and Approved Codes of Practice (ACOPs). * Assist the Project Manager in implementing and maintaining the project’s Workplace Safety and Health Management System (WSHMS). * Conduct daily site safety inspections and routine audits to identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions. * Ensure all work activities are supported by approved Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), Method Statements, and Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems where applicable. * Monitor high-risk construction activities, including work at height, lifting operations, excavation works, confined space entry, demolition works, hot works, and electrical works. * Conduct safety induction for new employees, subcontractors, and site visitors. * Organise and conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and WSH promotional activities. * Investigate accidents, dangerous occurrences, occupational illnesses, and near misses, and recommend corrective and preventive actions. * Monitor the implementation and close-out of corrective actions arising from inspections, audits, and incident investigations. * Ensure all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is properly issued, used, and maintained. * Verify that lifting equipment, machinery, scaffolding, temporary works, and safety devices are inspected and certified in accordance with statutory requirements. * Maintain all statutory safety records, inspection checklists, licences, permits, and EHS documentation. * Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and relevant authorities on all EHS matters. * Assist during inspections conducted by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), clients, or external auditors. * Support the company’s bizSAFE and ISO Management Systems (where applicable). * Promote a proactive safety culture and encourage reporting of hazards and near misses. * Perform any other EHS-related duties assigned by the Management. Requirements * Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline. * Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with the Singapore Ministry of Manpower (MOM). * Registered Fire Safety Manager (FSM) certification is an advantage. * Certified bizSAFE Level 2 Risk Management course or equivalent. * Minimum 3–5 years of relevant EHS experience in Singapore’s construction industry. * Strong working knowledge of: * Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act * WSH (Construction) Regulations * Risk Management Regulations * Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems * Work at Height requirements * Confined Space requirements * Lifting Operations * Scaffolding safety requirements * Experience in preparing and reviewing Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), Method Statements, and incident investigation reports. * Familiar with MOM, BCA, SCDF, NEA, and other applicable Singapore regulatory requirements. * Good communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. * Able to work independently in a fast-paced construction environment. * Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. * Possess a positive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards. Preferred Qualifications * Experience in MRT, infrastructure, industrial, commercial, or high-rise building projects. * Internal Auditor certification for ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001. * Knowledge of ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems. * First Aid, Work-at-Height Assessor, or other relevant WSH certifications will be an added advantage.
