Marine Superintendent

Responsibilities Check safety standards and systems, and suggest improvements where needed Work with the Marine Manager to make sure vessels meet international maritime standards Help finalise commercial agreements with charter parties Create contingency plans and spot any discrepancies Keep track of certificates for all vessels, and oversee safety, nautical, and commercial operations Spot risk areas and work with the technical department to manage them Support vessel Masters during pre vetting inspections, including SIRE assessments Check navigation, communication, and safety equipment to make sure they are working well Prepare and send performance reports to clients for assigned vessels Keep good working relationships with local authorities and classification societies Requirements Class 1 Certificate of Competency, with at least a Diploma in Maritime Studies or a related field At least 2 years of shore based experience in ship management or with a shipowner, preferably in tankers Good technical knowledge of vessel operations, and comfortable using MS Office Strong communication skills, able to work independently and as part of a team, with a results driven attitude Clarence Khoh R1552376
