Ehs Engineer

Responsibilities: Serve as the Fire Safety Manager (FSM) to ensure full compliance with SCDF requirements on fire safety regulations, fire protection systems, and fire prevention management. Develop, implement, and review the company’s HSE management system, policies, and supporting documentation. Plan and execute HSE programs, campaigns, and training to enhance employee awareness and promote a strong safety culture. Conduct and participate in HSE inspections, audits, drills, and WSH committee meetings, serving as the Committee Secretary to coordinate activities and documentation. Lead and support accident and incident investigations, ensuring timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Review and audit permits, safe work practices, method statements, and risk assessments to ensure operational compliance. Maintain and oversee the upkeep of the Plant’s Emergency Response Team (ERT) equipment and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Requirements: Must be a registered Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Officer with MOM and a certified Fire Safety Manager (FSM) with SCDF. Minimum of five years of hands-on experience managing safety responsibilities within an HSE department. At least three years of experience in manufacturing or chemical plants, preferably with exposure to Jurong Island operations.
