Cybersecurity Project Manager (Banking, Contract)

Overview The Cybersecurity Project Manager drives end-to-end delivery of critical security programs within the highly regulated banking sector. The successful hire will lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders across IT, Risk, and Compliance to ensure security enhancements meet organizational and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Project Delivery: Lead end-to-end execution of enterprise-wide cybersecurity programs (e.g., IAM, PAM, Cloud Security, Network Segmentation) ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget. Regulatory Compliance: Conduct regulatory and security fit-gap assessments, oversee remediation plans, and ensure alignment with banking frameworks. Stakeholder Management: Coordinate seamlessly with Cybersecurity, IT, Risk, Compliance, and business units to ensure strategic alignment and project buy-in. Project Governance: Monitor project milestones, handle risk management, mitigate dependencies, and provide regular executive dashboards and status reports. Vendor Management: Track third-party vendor performance, resource allocation, and budget tracking. Requirements & Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a closely related field. Experience: Min. of 5 years of relevant Cybersecurity project management experience, ideally within Banking or Financial Services. Security Knowledge: Foundational understanding of cybersecurity domains like Identity & Access Management (IAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), SOC, and Vulnerability Management. Platform Exposure: Familiarity with cybersecurity tools (e.g., CyberArk, SailPoint, Splunk) and network access control frameworks. Methodologies: Strong command of Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project delivery models. Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, CISSP, or CISM will be advantageous *Comfortable with project-based contract arrangements.
