Process Engineer (Sheetmetal Fabrication)

Company Overview TECHSTEEL FABRICATION PTE LTD Job Summary You will apply your expertise in sheet metal fabrication to lead process planning and quality control initiatives that drive efficient production. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize fabrication workflows and ensure compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities Review mechanical drawings to determine and select optimal fabrication process sequences Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) for fabrication parts to support accurate production planning Develop and document process routing, control plans, and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to enhance process reliability and quality Collaborate with operators and technicians to implement and refine fabrication processes Apply knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and welding symbols to interpret and verify fabrication requirements Utilize expertise in TIG and MIG welding techniques adhering to AWS, ASME, and ISO welding standards to ensure quality welds Analyze failures to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions for continuous improvement Manage drawing documentation and control through Engineering Change Notes (ECN) to maintain version accuracy Design and fabricate jigs and fixtures to support efficient and precise manufacturing operations Apply skills in sheet metal bending and welding processes to meet fabrication specifications Required competencies and certifications Certified proficiency in SolidWorks for design and drafting purposes Preferred competencies and qualifications Minimum three years of relevant experience in sheet metal fabrication
