Dr Yu Fengwei Group: Postdoctoral Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Fellow to join our dynamic research team. The Yu lab is interested in using mouse and human cerebral organoid to understand mechanisms of neural stem cell proliferation, neuronal differentiation/remodelling and their implications in neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorders. The successful candidate will explore the causative functions of autism risk genes using patient-derived cerebral organoids. Dr Yu is a Senior Principal Investigator at TLL and was also the President of Society for Neuroscience Singapore Chapter. Dr Yu, as a senior author, has published important papers in Nature, Cell Biology, Nature Neuroscience, Neuron, Developmental Cell, PLOS Biology, EMBO J, PNAS and Cell Reports. Requirements : PhD Degree in Neurobiology and Cell biology At least one first-author research paper in an international peer-reviewed journal A strong research background in neuronal cell biology, iPSC or brain organoids and mouse model Prior experience in cellular neurobiology in mammalian model systems would be preferred Highly motivated and enthusiastic in the field of neuronal development and human brain diseases Salary and benefits are commensurable to the educational qualifications and working experience of the candidate.
