Trade Operations Specialist Location: Suntec Working hours: Mon – Fri, 8.30am – 5pm Salary: Up to $5,500 (commensurate with experience) We are looking for a hands-on Trade Operations Specialist / Assistant Manager to support and manage end-to-end trade operations activities for international shipments. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of import/export documentation processes within a trading environment and be confident handling bulk and containerized shipments independently. Key Responsibilities Manage full-spectrum trade operations activities for import and export shipments across bulk, and container shipping. Coordinate with HQ in Korea, suppliers, customers, and freight forwarders to ensure smooth shipment execution. Process vendor orders and monitor shipment schedules. Review purchase contracts and prepare / issue Letters of Credit (L/C) where required. Prepare and verify trade and shipping documents including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading (B/L), and other required export/import documents. Ensure documentation complies with L/C terms, contract requirements, and shipping timelines. Process Purchase Orders (POs), sales transactions, and goods returns in SAP. Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) related to trade transactions. Support month-end closing, reconciliation, and reporting. Perform other administrative or operational duties as assigned. Requirements Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Maritime Studies, Business, or related disciplines. Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in trade operations within a commodity trading, shipping, or international trading firm. Strong understanding of import/export documentation and international trade processes. Practical experience handling bulk and containerized shipments . Familiar with Letter of Credit (L/C) processes, Bills of Lading, shipping documentation, and Incoterms. Experience using SAP and Microsoft Excel.
