Job Summary The IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) Technician I is responsible for receiving, tracking, testing, and performing secure data sanitisation of IT assets. This role ensures accurate documentation, proper asset handling, and preparation for reuse or disposal in line with compliance and security standards. In this role, you will also support data centre decommissioning activities such as de-racking and equipment removal, while ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with data security, EHS, and operational procedures. Job Responsibilities: ITAD Operations Receive, label, and log incoming IT assets (laptops, desktops, servers, networking equipment) Perform data sanitisation (software wiping, degaussing, or physical destruction) Test, diagnose, and grade IT assets Disassemble and prepare assets for reuse, recycling, or disposal Maintain accurate inventory and chain-of-custody records Data Centre Decommissioning Support inventory checks, audits, and compliance activities Assist in data centre decommissioning works De-rack and remove IT assets following site and safety procedures Label, pack, and prepare equipment for secure transport Maintain strict data security and access control Follow all information security, safety, and operational procedures General Responsibilities Maintain a clean and organised work environment Report any discrepancies or issues promptly Support other operational tasks as assigned Job Requirements: Minimum NITEC / Diploma in IT, Electronics, or equivalent. 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred, especially in IT manufacturing or repair environments. On-the-job training will be provided. Able to understand English in order to read work instructions, safety guidelines, and system interfaces. Good work attitude and strong team spirit. Working hours: Monday–Friday & alternate Saturdays (8.45am – 5.45pm). Able to perform overtime work when required, in accordance with MOM regulations.
