Senior Developer

Tescom is an IT consulting firm providing a range of professional services in functional testing, automation testing, cyber security testing, performance testing, independent IT auditing, and application support. We are looking to hire a SENIOR DEVELOPER for a public sector project. Responsibilities 1. develop software; 2. work closely and collaborate with the Business Analyst(s), Quality Assurance Engineer(s), and application testers for user stories elaboration, test automation, bug fixes etc.; 3. work with deployment team/DevOps team on setting up continuous integration, build and release automation; 4. convert acceptance criteria into automated unit tests; 5. support production issues and duty rotation for after-off-hours support; and 6. be involved in application deployment. Experience: 1. At least five(5) years of IT infrastructure and application development and/or maintenance experience in IT projects. 2. Software development experience in skills in one or more programming/scripting languages(e.g. HTML5, CSS and JavaScript); 3. Software development experience in skills in three or more of following: Java JDK, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Jasper Reports Com. Edition, Hibernate, Jquery, iConnect using Spring Boot 3.5, Azure Cosmos PostgreSQL Cluster, Angular, Quartz, JBoss EAP; 4. Ability to troubleshoot complex issues ranging from system resource to application stack traces; 5. Preferably, with track record in implementing systems with high availability, high performance, high security hosted at various data centres or hybrid cloud; 6. Preferably, cloud implementation experience, agile-related project experience or qualifications. 7. Preferably, public health business domain experience. 8. Preferably, with experience working on IT projects with the Singapore Government; Education & Certifications: 1. Possesses at least a recognised IT/Computer Science Degree or a related discipline; 2. Preferably, with software development or testing certifications. Personal characteristics: 1. Possesses good communication (verbal and written) skills in English; 2. Good work attitude. 3. Fast learner and able to quickly understand complex systems. 4. Able to work fast to address user issues quickly and accurately. 5. Quality conscious. 6. Strong sense of responsibility, accountability, and customer service.
