Dog Daycare Assistant

The Animal Retreat is a dog daycare and hotel located along Guillemard Road. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for passionate dog lovers to join our team as Dog Daycare Handlers! Key Responsibilities: Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for all dogs Handle general housekeeping duties, including cleaning up after dogs Observe and understand each dog’s personality, behaviour, and play style Supervise group play sessions and engage dogs with enrichment activities such as puzzles and games Walk dogs daily and ensure they receive adequate exercise Prepare and serve meals according to feeding schedules Communicate with pet owners and provide updates on their dogs Capture photos and videos for daily updates to owners Assist with grooming tasks such as showering dogs Support special activities including monthly outings and swimming sessions Requirements: A genuine love for dogs and their well-being Physically fit and comfortable with a hands-on, active role Able to handle dogs of various sizes, temperaments, and energy levels Responsible, attentive, and able to work well in a team
