Daycare Team Member (Dog Daycare Handler)

The Oasis by Noble Canine | Singapore Full-time (shift-based) We’re hiring daycare staff who genuinely love dogs, work calmly under pressure, and take safety and welfare seriously. Noble Canine Oasis is a structured, welfare-first dog daycare and training facility. We run organised playgroups, enforced rest periods, and proactive handling standards. If you’re the type who thinks “prevention beats firefighting”, you’ll fit in well. What you’ll be doing Supervising structured playgroups and managing dog arousal levels proactively Using gates, barriers, and calm handling to prevent conflict (no rough handling, no intimidation) Rotations, rest periods, nap-time management, and safe-zone/kennel routines Safe dog handling for arrivals, departures, and internal movement (grooming/hydro/field) Basic enrichment and simple training moments (engagement, calmness, impulse control) Cleaning and hygiene tasks throughout the day (this is hands-on work) Recording clear notes and updates in our booking/client system (Wix) Supporting client experience: professional handovers, clear communication, and teamwork What we’re looking for Calm, responsible, safety-minded, and confident around dogs of all sizes Able to read dog body language and intervene early, not late Comfortable working in a physically active environment (standing, moving, cleaning, lifting) Reliable, punctual, and able to follow procedures consistently Strong teamwork and communication (you’ll be working around gates, doors, and dogs in motion) Willing to learn and adapt to our science based methodologies and be coached to a higher standard than “typical daycare handling” Experience Experience in dog daycare, kennels, shelter work, grooming support, vet support, driving license or training is a bonus Non-negotiables Welfare-first, force-free handling only No shouting, intimidation, or rough physical handling Must follow safety procedures around gates, crates/kennels, and group management Must be able to work weekends/holidays when scheduled (shift-based) What you’ll get Structured training and clear SOPs A team that takes welfare seriously and runs daycare properly Growth opportunities for the right person
