Credit Control Manager An established organisation is seeking an experienced Credit Control Manager to lead its credit management and collections function, ensuring effective credit governance, minimising financial risk, and optimising cash flow. This is a leadership opportunity for a commercially minded professional to drive credit policies, strengthen receivables performance, and partner with internal stakeholders to support sustainable business growth. Some of the key responsibilities will include: • Lead the credit control function, overseeing credit assessments, collections, and receivables management to minimise credit risk and optimise cash flow. • Evaluate customer creditworthiness through financial analysis, credit reviews, and ongoing portfolio monitoring to support informed credit decisions. • Manage credit insurance arrangements and internal credit approval processes to ensure appropriate credit limits and effective risk mitigation. • Develop and implement credit control policies, procedures, and governance frameworks to ensure compliance with organisational standards and best practices. • Work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve payment disputes, negotiate repayment arrangements, and improve collection outcomes. • Monitor customer payment performance, identify potential credit risks, and recommend appropriate actions to minimise bad debt exposure, including suspension of credit facilities or legal recovery where necessary. • Provide regular reporting and insights on credit performance, receivables, and emerging credit risks to support management decision-making. • Lead, coach, and develop the credit control team while driving continuous improvements in credit processes, operational efficiency, and customer service. To be eligible for this role you will require: • Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business or a related discipline. • At least 8 years of experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or credit risk management, including 3–5 years in a leadership capacity. • Strong understanding of commercial credit management, credit policies, collections, contract management, and relevant business regulations. • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess financial information, evaluate customer credit risk, and make sound commercial decisions. • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with proven experience resolving disputes and managing customer relationships. • Proactive leadership style with the ability to drive process improvements, develop high-performing teams, and operate effectively in a fast-paced business environment.
