About the Role We are seeking a dynamic and responsible Centre Manager to oversee the daily operations of our coding and robotics enrichment centre. The Centre Manager will ensure smooth centre operations, high-quality learning delivery, excellent customer experience, and strong team coordination across trainers and admin staff. This role is central to maintaining The Lab’s standards in delivering engaging, structured, and future-ready STEAM education to children and teenagers. Key Responsibilities 1. Centre Operations Management Oversee daily opening, closing, and overall centre operations Ensure classrooms, robotics equipment, and learning materials are well-maintained Maintain a safe, clean, and organised learning environment Manage schedules, class flow, and student attendance 2. Team Leadership & Coordination Supervise and support trainers and administrative staff Coordinate weekly class plans, lesson execution, and class coverage Provide on-the-ground guidance for new and junior trainers Foster a positive, collaborative team culture 3. Parent & Customer Experience Handle parent enquiries, feedback, and service recovery professionally Support student onboarding, registration, and retention efforts Maintain strong communication with parents regarding student progress and centre updates 4. Academic & Programme Support Work closely with curriculum leads to ensure smooth delivery of coding and robotics programmes Ensure trainers follow lesson structure and teaching standards Monitor class engagement and student learning outcomes 5. Sales & Enrolment Support Support enrolment targets through consultations and follow-ups Assist in converting trial classes into full enrolments Track attendance, retention, and class capacity planning 6. Administration & Reporting Maintain accurate centre records (attendance, schedules, incident reports) Prepare basic operational and performance reports Ensure compliance with internal policies and safety standards Requirements Prior experience in centre management, education operations, or customer-facing leadership roles preferred Strong organisational and multitasking skills Confident in handling parents and children in a service-oriented environment Leadership experience in managing small teams Comfortable working in a fast-paced weekend-heavy schedule (Wed–Sun) Interest in education, coding, robotics, or STEAM learning is a strong advantage Personal Attributes Responsible, proactive, and solution-oriented Strong communication and interpersonal skills Calm under pressure and able to handle operational challenges Hands-on and willing to support both operations and front-line duties Passionate about children’s learning and development Work Schedule Wednesday to Sunday (including weekends and public holidays when required) Monday & Tuesday off days
