Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Vetting &Nomination Manager to oversee vessel nomination and vetting activities for dry bulk fixtures. The successful candidate will assess vessel suitability, coordinate with owners, charterers, brokers and terminals, manage operational risks, and support the commercial team throughout the fixture process. Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end vessel nomination and vetting process, assessing vessel suitability for cargoes, ports and terminals using internal and external vetting systems. Review vessel particulars, class status, statutory certificates and operational history. Assess vessel suitability against charterer, terminal and port requirements. Coordinate with owners, charterers, brokers, operators and port agents to facilitate vessel nominations. Monitor vessel compliance, PSC performance, sanctions screening and operational risks. Support chartering and operations teams with technical and commercial assessments prior to fixing. Maintain accurate vetting records and reporting databases. Develop and enhance internal vetting procedures and best practices. Required competencies and certifications Develop and enhance internal vetting procedures and best practices. Minimum 5 years' experience in vessel vetting, marine assurance, commercial operations, technical management or dry bulk shipping Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Nautical Studies or a related maritime discipline. Proven leadership experience managing a department in a similar role Familiarity with class societies, PSC inspections and statutory certification. Understanding of charter parties and voyage operations. Knowledge of sanctions compliance and maritime regulations. Experience with vessel information databases and vetting platforms.
