Quality Assurance Engineer

About the Role We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the reliability, performance, and quality of our software products. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams to design and execute comprehensive testing strategies, build automation frameworks, and continuously improve software quality throughout the development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Design, execute, and maintain functional, automated, integration, and performance testing for web applications and backend services. Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test suites for user interfaces, APIs, and messaging systems. Build and improve test automation frameworks, regression testing platforms, and quality engineering tools to increase testing efficiency and defect detection. Leverage AI-powered tools and Large Language Models (LLMs) to improve test case generation, defect analysis, test execution, and reporting. Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and QA team members to understand requirements, define testing strategies, and develop comprehensive end-to-end test scenarios. Design and maintain test data, mock services, and testing environments to support efficient and reliable testing. Perform performance, scalability, stability, and capacity testing, and identify opportunities for system optimization. Monitor software quality metrics, analyze testing results, and continuously improve quality assurance processes and standards. Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and work with engineering teams to prevent recurring defects. Contribute to continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines by integrating automated quality checks into the software development lifecycle. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline. At least 5 years of software testing experience, including 2 years of test automation development. Strong programming skills in at least one language such as Python or Java. Experience with test automation frameworks and performance testing tools such as Pytest, Playwright, Appium, JMeter, K6, Locust, or similar technologies. Solid understanding of HTTP, TCP/IP, WebSocket, REST APIs, and distributed application architectures. Experience designing and maintaining API automation frameworks, regression testing platforms, mock services, or test data management solutions. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a strong sense of ownership for software quality. Experience using AI-assisted development and testing tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar solutions to improve testing efficiency. Preferred Qualifications Experience testing large-scale web applications, enterprise software, SaaS platforms, or consumer-facing applications. Experience with distributed systems, microservices architectures, and event-driven applications. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Experience with containerized testing environments using Docker and Kubernetes. Knowledge of observability tools, application monitoring, and performance analysis. Experience implementing shift-left testing practices and modern Quality Engineering methodologies.
