Position Summary Located in Singapore, TAS is looking for a full-time, highly experienced Technical Manager to join its team. This position will lead standard technical operations, including design proposals, system modeling, installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of our core UF, RO, and MBR portfolios. Additionally, leveraging strong project management and commercialization capabilities, this role will spearhead Technical Business Development efforts focusing on Nanofiltration (NF) membranes, emerging applications (including F&B and industrial streams), and provide dedicated, high-level technical and linguistic support for our Vietnam customers and regional projects. Key Responsibilities 1. Standard Technical Operations & Project Management Early-Stage Design & Modeling : Lead the initial design, process simulation, and array modeling of treatment plants (desalination, wastewater reuse) and verify that the design matches client agreements. Commissioning, Piloting & Supervision: Conduct on-site inspections, coordinate pilot-scale evaluations, and check plant readiness. Supervise installation, element deployment, and startup until all energy-saving and performance goals are met. Technical Transfer & Feedback: Responsible for providing structured feedback, data-driven optimization reports, and technical insights from every startup/pilot to internal departments (Proposal, Engineering, and Process). After-Sales, Optimization & Client Management: Monitor full-scale plant performance, maintain strong stakeholder and client relationships, coordinate sampling operations, and guide operational staff on troubleshooting and laboratory tests to optimize existing plant designs. QHSE & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) policies are adequately implemented across all site activities, and ensure products align with relevant local/international compliance standards. 2. New Business Development (NBD) & Technical Growth Vietnam Market Support: Provide strategic technical sales support and build deep engineering relationships with new municipal and industrial clients and partners specifically in Vietnam, acting as the primary technical liaison. NF & Advanced Application Development: Promote, design, and establish technical validation for Nanofiltration (NF) modules to capture new industrial segments, with a particular focus on specialized streams and the Food & Beverage (F&B) sector. Innovation & Scaling Support: Evaluate market readiness for new membrane product configurations and support the integration of non-membrane product lines as advised by management. Job Requirements Education : Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or equivalent. Experience: Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in membrane water treatment, application development, or commercial engineering (experience moving projects from pilot to full-scale deployment is highly advantageous). Core Technical Knowledge: Deep expertise in the principles of UF, RO, and NF applications (e.g., seawater desalination, low-energy brackish water RO, and industrial wastewater reuse). Familiarity with alternative membrane form factors (hollow fiber/spiral wound) and process simulation software is a strong plus. Language Fluency : Professional fluency in written and spoken English and Vietnamese is required to effectively manage and scale business relations with clients and partners in Vietnam. Soft Skills & Leadership: Strong cross-functional team leadership, project management, and critical thinking capabilities. Proven track record of managing multi-stakeholder projects on time and within budget.
