The Head of Immersive Systems & Operation is responsible for shaping, leading, and transforming Trinax’s Operations function into a high-performance technical organisation capable of supporting increasingly complex, premium, and globally replicable immersive experiences. The role spans strategy, system design intent, pre-sales solutioning, and on-ground execution — balancing creative ambition with technical rigour, operational excellence, and commercial realism. -- Key Responsibilities Operations as a Value Creator - Own and elevate Operations as a strategic enabler, not a cost centre. - Design operational systems that make immersive experiences: a. Buildable b. Reliable c. Maintainable d. Scalable - Set clear quality bars for: a. Installations b. System handovers c. Maintenance and support - Drive repeatability, consistency, and operational maturity across projects. Technical & Domain Leadership - Act as the technical authority across immersive and AV systems, including: a. Large-format LED walls and displays b. Projection and projection mapping systems c. Media servers, show control, sensors, and interactive systems d. Integrated hardware + software + content + control environments - Apply system-level thinking, understanding how components interact across: a. Hardware b. Software c. Content d. Control and monitoring - Architect and validate solutions — not just deploy equipment — ensuring long-term reliability and maintainability. Pre-Sales & Commercial Contribution - Actively support pre-sales, solutioning, and proposal strategy. - Translate creative concepts into: a. Credible technical architectures b. Realistic deployment and maintenance plans c. Clear cost and risk narratives - Confidently present technical solutions to: a. Clients b. Consultants c. Partners and vendors - Bring commercial awareness to decision-making: a. Cost vs performance trade-offs b. Scalability c. Lifecycle and maintenance implications Design & Creative Collaboration - Work seamlessly with Creative, Sales, Software, and Innovation teams. - Elevate ideas by asking: “How do we make this impressive, buildable, and reliable — at scale?” - Contribute technical creativity, not just constraint-based thinking. - Ensure design intent translates into operational reality without dilution. Operational Excellence & Systems - Build and enforce: a. Standards b. SOPs c. Documentation d. Knowledge systems - Drive: a. Preventive maintenance strategies b. Diagnostics and monitoring c. Asset lifecycle planning - Oversee: a. Fault and incident management b. Root-cause analysis c. Continuous improvement - Ensure operations comply with: a. ISO27001-aligned processes b. WSH requirements c. Client contractual obligations Team Transformation & Leadership - Lead, mentor, and transform our current Field Engineers into specialist system engineers. - Upskill the team. - Build a culture of: a. Technical pride b. Curiosity c. Accountability d. Ownership - Set clear performance expectations and address underperformance decisively. - Design manpower models covering: a. Installations & teardowns b. Maintenance c. Events standby d. After-hours and critical support Asset, Vendor & Risk Ownership - Own and maintain accurate, up-to-date asset inventory across all AV and IT equipment. - Manage asset lifecycle from deployment to decommissioning. - Coordinate third-party vendors and OEMs for: a. Servicing b. Repairs c. Warranties d. Escalations - Serve as Workplace Safety Officer (or key liaison) ensuring safe execution of on-site works.
