About this role
Responsibilities: Oversee the special process lines (including alodine, bead blasting, E-polish, chemical polish, anodizing, chemical cleaning, texturing, electro-less nickel plating, passivation etc.), DI water and waste water plants. Work in conjunction with production (Machining, Polishing, Assembly etc.) and plan to deliver quality products to customers meeting all requirements. Work independently and manage team members for equipment setup, plating/special process operations and documentation. Troubleshoot problems for equipment and part manufacturing issues. Control of chemicals both in process tanks and in chemical storage. Manage process/ chemicals control it through SPC charts as per control plan, WI, FMEA etc. Perform essential chemistry lab techniques including vacuum/fractional distillation, chemical extraction, and fundamental gas chromatography. Possess experience in operating the essential lab instrumentation, such as TLC, FT-IR, DSC, and TGA. Handle/use and storage of hazardous materials (solvents, combustibles, lab gasses, chemicals, etc.), disposal of chemicals according to the statutory and regulatory local requirements. Participate in all phases of special process planning execution, data collection and analysis of lab experiments. Requirement: Diploma or Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or equivalent qualification with minimum 3 years of experience in Special process/ Finishing process in Manufacturing industry. Able to work independently under pressure & as a team to meet tight deadlines. Cost conscious, hands-on, highly analytical and competent, with excellent problem solving skills and possess ability to exercise independent judgment while working with cross-functional team members to achieve win-win collaboration. Requires observing and recording facility and equipment measurements, cleaning, maintaining facilities and equipment, such as instruments and safety items, in accordance with standard operating procedures to maintain a safe and orderly workplace. Computer skills to order materials, log processing area and analytical work, manage storage, etc. Above average mechanical ability is highly desired. Highly motivated self-starter with good organizational, interpersonal and communications (written and oral) skills in English medium is preferred.
