About this role
Job Responsibilities Operationalizes the Nursing Home’s goals and objectives; provides leadership and oversight in the planning, development, coordination and evaluation of nursing services. Responsible for the compliance of all nursing standards of the cluster of nursing homes as stipulated by the Ministry of Health and the Singapore Nursing Board. Assists the DON in identifying new programs for the residents and special projects to meet any service gaps. Ensures appropriate skills mix and adequate manpower resourcing for all shifts and types of services. Ensures cost-effective service and optimal outcomes are maintained and/or enhanced. Promotes evidence-based practices or nursing care delivery. Monitors and analyses trends and changing needs of residents in institutional settings. Ensures written job descriptions of all categories of healthcare staff are endorsed by management and readily accessible. Directs and facilitates staff development, skills and competency upgrading through various opportunities and pathways. These may include formal education, in-house training and approved online learning programs. Oversees Training Department in developing and training of healthcare staff to meet the needs of the clients. Ensures written policies and procedures and work process are available and up to date to guide nursing care delivery. Undertakes any other responsibilities as directed by the Supervisor/Management of the Company. Qualification Degree in Management Studies or equivalent. Post Graduate Nursing Specialty Certificate. State Registered Nurse and valid practicing licensed issued by the Singapore Nursing Board. Valid certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS). Experience At least 5 years of management experience, with demonstration of leadership ability in a health care organization.
