Job Description The Primary Mathematics Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging and effective Mathematics lessons that help students develop strong mathematical concepts, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Key Responsibilities Teaching & Learning Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons aligned with the School's curriculum and academic standards. Teach mathematical concepts, problem-solving strategies, reasoning skills, and mathematical applications. Differentiate instruction to meet students' different learning needs and abilities. Foster confidence, curiosity, and independent thinking in Mathematics. Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, and examination papers. Classroom Management Maintain a safe, respectful, and positive classroom environment. Establish clear classroom expectations and encourage positive behaviour. Ensure students' safety and wellbeing at all times. Student Assessment Assess students through classwork, homework, quizzes, tests, and examinations. Monitor students' academic progress and provide timely feedback. Prepare student reports and maintain accurate academic records. Parent Communication Communicate professionally with parents regarding students' academic progress and learning needs. Attend parent-teacher meetings when required. School Responsibilities Participate in staff meetings, professional development programmes, and School events. Collaborate with colleagues and the Head of Department to improve teaching quality. Requirements Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Education, Mathematics Education, or a related field. Teaching qualification (PGDE, PGCE, NIE, Diploma in Education, or equivalent) is preferred. Experience At least 1 years of teaching experience at the primary school level is preferred. Experience teaching the Singapore MOE Mathematics syllabus or AEIS Mathematics is highly desirable. Fresh graduates with excellent academic results and a passion for teaching are welcome to apply.
