Inspector- Workplace Safety & Health (WSH)

Designation : Inspector Location : Bendemeer Working hours : 44 hours in a week. Job Responsibilities Conduct workplace inspections and audits in accordance with SOPs and WSH legislation. Prepare for inspections by reviewing workplace information and previous inspection records. Inspect workplaces, interview personnel, assess working conditions, and collect relevant evidence. Identify areas of non-compliance and recommend or carry out follow-up actions. Prepare and submit inspection/investigation reports within prescribed timelines. Update inspection findings in the Authority's system and maintain accurate records. Liaise with employers, occupiers, and relevant stakeholders on inspection outcomes. Provide administrative support, including data entry and report compilation. Attend meetings, interviews, and court proceedings when required. Professional Qualifications Must possess one of the following: Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety & Health (WSQ); or MSc in Safety, Health & Environment Technology (NUS); or Bachelor qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety / Human Factors in Safety / Health, Safety & Environment / Safety, Health & Environmental Management from recognized universities. Skills Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent written and spoken English. Strong communication, analytical, report writing, and interpersonal skills. Additional Requirements (For Risk Management Audit & Training Provider Inspections) Audit experience is preferred. Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower is preferred.
