Yield Defect Senior Associate Engineer

Role Summary You will be responsible for shift duties performing data analysis on defect scan data. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with module shift engineers within a dynamic environment to identify, analyse and resolve defect issues impacting production yield in a timely manner. Key Responsibilities Defect Identification: Monitor and analyze production processes to identify abnormal defect conditions and implement corrective actions Data Analysis: Utilize various inspection / metrology tools (e.g KLA BBP, KLA Laser Scan, AMAT eBeam, SemV, EDX) to evaluate defects and maintain accurate defect classifications Colloboration: Work closely with process engineer and technicians to enhance manufacturing line stability and quality. Support Yield Engineer to identify potential yield-limiting defect sources and drive defect reduction roadmap for respective technology, through data-driven decisions Reporting: Conduct defect source analysis, issue defect notices, and manage work-in-progress (WIP) based on daily dynamic changing priorities Education Qualification & Essential Experiences A Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related STEM field Minimum of at least 5 years of experience in KLA bright field, darkfield and defect metrology tools and inline applications of these tools to monitor and detect root causes in a high-volume advanced manufacturing fab Opportunity to travel to Taiwan for training (Subject to needs and expectations) Key Skills and Attributes Good interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively across functions and geographical teams with diverse background Goal driven and an excellent team player that can work under pressure in a dynamic and fast-paced environment Has a growth mindset, prioritizing adaptability, resilience, innovation, curiosity, and ongoing learning to support business needs VSMC promotes diversity and inclusivity in our workforce; and hiring will be conducted in phases.
