JOB OVERVIEW The Business Development Director is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the strategic growth, sustainability, and expansion of Center of Phellowship Singapore's activities in Singapore and across the region. The role oversees business development initiatives, strategic partnerships, large-scale event management, fundraising initiatives, community engagement programs, and organisational transformation projects. The incumbent will lead the development and execution of growth strategies to strengthen the organisation's presence among the Filipino community and broader international communities in Singapore, while establishing partnerships with corporations, government agencies, educational institutions, non-profit organisations, and community groups. This position requires an experienced leader with strong commercial acumen, strategic planning capabilities, stakeholder management experience, and proven expertise in managing large-scale events and community initiatives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Leadership & Business Development • Develop and execute long-term business development strategies to drive organisational growth and sustainability. • Identify and establish strategic partnerships with corporate sponsors, community organisations, churches, educational institutions, and government agencies. • Develop new revenue streams, sponsorship opportunities, and funding initiatives to support the organisation's programs and expansion plans. • Conduct market research and identify opportunities for new community initiatives, events, and strategic collaborations. Partnership & Stakeholder Management • Represent the organisation in high-level meetings and negotiations with key stakeholders and strategic partners. • Build and maintain strong relationships with local and overseas partners, sponsors, donors, vendors, and community leaders. • Lead contract negotiations, partnership agreements, and strategic alliance initiatives. Events & Program Management • Oversee the conceptualisation, planning, and execution of large-scale conferences, concerts, seminars, training programs, camps, and community outreach initiatives. • Develop annual event strategies and calendars aligned with the organisation's mission and growth objectives. • Manage event budgets, operational plans, risk assessments, and post-event evaluations. Operational & Organisational Management • Oversee the day-to-day operational activities of the organisation and ensure effective resource allocation. • Develop policies, processes, and operational frameworks to improve efficiency and organisational effectiveness. • Monitor organisational performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Marketing & Community Engagement • Develop and implement strategic marketing and outreach initiatives to enhance brand awareness and community participation. • Lead digital engagement, communications strategies, and stakeholder engagement initiatives. • Strengthen the organisation's presence within Singapore's Filipino community and broader multicultural communities. Financial & Commercial Management • Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts for events and strategic initiatives. • Monitor financial performance, sponsorship revenues, and expenditure to ensure sustainable operations. • Prepare business proposals, funding applications, and strategic reports for management and stakeholders. Leadership & Team Management • Lead, mentor, and manage employees, volunteers, and cross-functional project teams. • Develop organisational capabilities and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture. • Provide strategic recommendations to the Board of Management on growth opportunities and organisational priorities. Governance, Compliance & Risk Management • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, licensing requirements, and organisational policies. • Develop and implement risk management and business continuity strategies for major events and organisational activities. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Event Management, Public Administration, or a related discipline preferred.
