Role Overview The position required to assist Finance Manager in overseeing financial and costing operations. Key responsibilities include handling daily accounting tasks, preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, supporting audits, and contributing to budgeting and forecasting processes. Job Scope: Perform closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations. Reconcile key accounts such as bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Prepare financial statements, management reports, costing reports, and group consolidations. Analyze financial and cost data to identify trends and provide actionable insights. Work with non-finance teams to communicate financial performance and cost-saving measures. Provide guidance on financial and cost-related matters to improve profitability. Maintain cost records, track variances, and assess manufacturing expenses. Conduct inventory valuation and ensure accurate reporting of stock levels. Develop budget templates and consolidate data from various departments. Prepare budgets for fixed assets, leases, and material usage aligned with production plans. Prepare quarterly GST returns and corporate tax schedules. Address tax-related inquiries and ensure compliance. Assist with statutory and internal audits by preparing audit schedules and reports. Manage deferred tax schedules and complete ACRA XBRL filings. Maintain financial records and update process documentation as needed. Support digitalization initiatives and work with IT to streamline accounting processes. Manage additional tasks as required. Requirements: Degree in Accounting or a related professional qualification. At least 5 years of relevant experience. Strong understanding of accounting principles. Basic knowledge of GST and corporate tax. Familiarity with SAP (preferred). Proficiency in MS Excel. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong stakeholder management for collaborative outcomes. Detail-oriented and highly meticulous. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Resilient and adaptable in handling complex tasks. Demonstrates leadership qualities such as trust, integrity, respect, and empathy.
