Linux System Administrator

Role: Linux System Administrator ( 1 year contract) Location: Singapore THE ROLE We're looking for a Linux System Administrator who brings both deep operational expertise and a reliability-first mindset. You'll own the stability of production systems, build automation that removes toil, and apply SRE principles to improve uptime and observability across the stack. No Solaris background? No problem if you're a strong Linux engineer who picks things up fast, we want to hear from you. WHAT YOU'LL DO Manage, patch, and harden Linux (and Solaris) systems — keeping performance, capacity, and security in check Write and maintain shell scripts and automation (Ansible, Python) to eliminate repetitive ops work Apply SRE practices: define and monitor SLAs/SLOs/SLIs, maintain observability stacks, and reduce MTTR Own monitoring, alerting, and logging systems; participate in on-call rotations Handle user access, security controls, audits, and compliance reviews Document configs, runbooks, and post-mortems; collaborate across dev, security, and network teams WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Must-have: 5+ years of hands-on Linux system administration Solid scripting skills — Unix shell as a minimum; Python a plus Familiarity with SRE principles, monitoring tools, and incident response Diploma or degree in IT/Engineering, or equivalent practical experience Good-to-have: Oracle Solaris, MySQL, JBoss, Sybase — but not blockers if you're a fast learner 📩 Interested or know someone who fits?
