Key Responsibilities Organisational Leadership ● Lead the day-to-day operations of WFS and ensure the effective delivery of organisational objectives. ● Support the President and Management Committee in implementing strategic initiatives and organisational priorities. ● Develop and review organisational policies, procedures, and standard operating processes. ● Prepare reports and recommendations for the Board on operational and programme matters. Technical & Programme Leadership ● Provide strategic oversight of all wrestling programmes under WFS. ● Develop and maintain athlete development pathways, coaching frameworks, and technical standards. ● Oversee the planning and delivery of grassroots, development, and high-performance programmes. ● Monitor programme quality, athlete progression, and coaching effectiveness. ● Oversee athlete selection processes in accordance with WFS policies. ● Lead the implementation of technical initiatives, including the WFS National Grading System. High Performance & Athlete Development ● Oversee the preparation and performance of national squad athletes. ● Support coaches in developing annual training and competition plans. ● Monitor athlete performance and recommend programme improvements. ● Identify opportunities to strengthen athlete development pathways. Events & Competition Management ● Lead the planning and operational delivery of competitions, championships, workshops, and major events. ● Coordinate venue bookings, logistics, equipment, officials, volunteers, and event manpower. ● Ensure competitions are delivered in accordance with WFS policies and international standards. ● Liaise with local and international sporting organisations on event matters. Administration, Governance & Compliance ● Ensure compliance with WFS policies, SportSG requirements, and statutory regulations. ● Coordinate Board meetings, Annual General Meetings, and committee meetings. ● Maintain organisational records, policies, contracts, and governance documentation. ● Coordinate audits, grant reporting, regulatory submissions, and risk management. Finance & Procurement ● Oversee procurement, purchasing, and payment processes. ● Monitor operational budgets and expenditure. ● Coordinate financial reporting with external accountants and auditors. ● Ensure compliance with financial policies and procurement procedures. Human Resource Management ● Oversee recruitment, onboarding, staff development, and performance management. ● Manage employment contracts, leave administration, payroll coordination, and HR policies. ● Foster a positive and collaborative workplace culture. Facilities & Asset Management ● Oversee the management and maintenance of WFS facilities and equipment. ● Monitor inventory and asset utilisation. ● Coordinate maintenance, servicing, and facility bookings. Stakeholder Engagement ● Build and maintain strong relationships with SportSG, affiliates, clubs, athletes, coaches, officials, sponsors, vendors, and other stakeholders. ● Represent WFS at meetings, competitions, conferences, and official engagements. ● Promote collaboration across the wrestling community. Leadership & Team Management ● Supervise administrative and programme staff. ● Provide leadership, mentoring, and performance management. ● Foster collaboration across all functional areas of WFS. Requirements The ideal candidate should possess: ● Diploma or Degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related discipline. ● At least 5 years of experience in sports management, operations, programme management, or organisational leadership. ● Experience managing sporting programmes, competitions, or high-performance environments. ● Strong understanding of governance, compliance, financial administration, and organisational operations. ● Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. ● Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving abilities. ● Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. ● Experience working within a National Sports Association, sports organisation, or non-profit sector will be an advantage. Working Hours ● 40 hours per week (excluding meal breaks). ● Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays when required for competitions, events, meetings, and official WFS activities. ● Occasional local and overseas travel may be required.
