The Project Engineer will be responsible for supporting the delivery of rail transit projects and ensuring all project activities are completed in accordance with technical, quality, and schedule requirements. Key responsibilities include: Review project documentation, including technical specifications, design drawings, test procedures, and method statements, ensuring compliance with project requirements and applicable standards. Supervise on-site installation, testing, commissioning, system integration, interface coordination, defect rectification, and handover activities to ensure quality and project compliance. Coordinate with project teams, contractors, interface contractors, and relevant stakeholders to resolve site issues, clashes, and technical challenges effectively. Monitor project schedules and progress, providing updates and reports to ensure project milestones and timelines are achieved. Attend project, coordination, and interface meetings to facilitate smooth project execution and timely delivery. Support the project team in managing day-to-day project activities, ensuring successful project completion within the approved timeline. Requirements Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electronics, Mechanical, or a related engineering discipline) from a recognized institution. Experience Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in project coordination, design review, site installation, testing, and commissioning of Rail Electrical & Mechanical (E&M) systems within Singapore's transit environment. Experience coordinating and interfacing with railway or transit operators and stakeholders for Addition & Alteration (A&A), system upgrading, or new system implementation works at operational transit stations. Experience in Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system upgrades, relocations, and system migration projects within a rail or transit environment will be an advantage. Skills & Competencies Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Experience using AutoCAD, BIM, or similar design and drawing review software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills. Other Requirements Able to work flexible hours when required. Willing to perform night works and activities during engineering hours. Able to travel regularly between office and project sites. Preferred Industry Experience Candidates with experience in rail transit systems, especially Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) projects, station upgrading works, and operational railway environments in Singapore will be highly regarded.
