Role Overview As a Design Consultant at ZLC, you are the first person our clients meet and the standard you set in that first conversation shapes the entire client experience. You are the primary salesperson responsible for building the company, carry client relationships, and represent the ZLC brand. This is a role with genuine commercial weight and genuine accountability. Your role has three dimensions: Win the client, understand their needs, propose the right solution, close the deal Design the solution. Working closely with our in-house drafters to translate the brief into something the client falls in love with Co-lead the project delivery(partnering with our Project Controller to make sure what was sold is what gets built, to ZLC's standard, on time). This role rewards people who build genuine relationships rather than push a hard sell. The clients who call us again for their next home, two or three renovations later, are the ones who felt truly listened to, not just sold to. Key Responsibilities Manage the full sales cycle from initial enquiry and site visit through to proposal presentation and contract signing Conduct thorough client needs assessments, translating lifestyle, functional, and aesthetic requirements into a clear renovation brief Develop and present compelling design concepts and renovation proposals in collaboration with the Drafter Brief the Quantity Surveyor accurately for quotation preparation; review and present quotes to clients Act as project co-lead once a contract is signed, coordinating with the Project Controller on scope, timeline, and client communications throughout delivery Manage client relationships proactively throughout the project lifecycle; address concerns early before they become complaints Identify and propose additional scope or value-adding solutions that genuinely serve the client's needs Maintain an up-to-date pipeline tracker; update MD on lead status and forecast on a weekly basis Mentor and guide Junior Design Consultants as the team grows (SeniorDC level) 4. Experience &Requirements • Minimum 2 years of experience in interior design consultancy, renovation sales, or design-and-build. Candidates with direct renovation industry experience are strongly preferred • Demonstrated ability to manage the full sales cycle and close deals in a consultative, relationship-driven environment • Strong design sensibility and the ability to communicate design ideas clearly to clients without requiring them to 'read drawings' • Excellent interpersonal skills.Comfortable with both HDB and condo homeowners and high-end commercial clients • Familiarity with renovation materials, construction processes, and industry standards • Proficient in presenting with samples, mood boards, and visual references; experience with SketchUp or basic 3D tools is an advantage • Organised.
