Key Responsibilities 1.Supplier & Vendor Management • Own and manage strategic supplier relationships for assigned commodity categories across the compute and storage portfolio • Conduct regular business reviews (QBRs) with key suppliers to track performance, negotiate improvements, and align on capacity roadmaps • Drive supply improvements including lead time reduction, capacity expansion, and on-time delivery (OTD) performance • Manage supplier escalations and resolve supply constraints in collaboration with ODMs and component suppliers 2.Material Planning & Supply Assurance • Interpret and act on complex demand/supply reports to ensure material availability aligned with build plans • Proactively identify supply risks, develop mitigation strategies, and drive execution of contingency plans • Monitor inventory health, excess & obsolescence exposure, and material lifecycle transitions • Coordinate with planning and engineering teams to manage NPI (New Product Introduction) material readiness 3. Cross-Functional Collaboration • Navigate competing priorities across internal teams including engineering, planning, finance, and logistics • Partner with ODM operations teams to ensure alignment on build schedules, material constraints, and quality expectations • Collaborate with sourcing and procurement on cost optimization, dual-sourcing strategies, and supplier qualification • Work closely with the CWAM and broader commodity management team to align regional execution with global strategy 4. Reporting & Executive Communication • Synthesize supply health and risk posture into clear, decision-ready status updates for senior leadership • Maintain commodity dashboards and scorecards tracking KPIs (OTD, lead time, allocation, cost) • Provide regular updates on supply chain performance, emerging risks, and recommended actions • Prepare and present material for leadership reviews, program reviews, and cross-functional forums Required Qualifications • 7+ years of experience in supply chain management, commodity management, or material planning in a high-volume manufacturing or infrastructure environment • Direct vendor management experience — proven ability to own and drive strategic supplier relationships at scale • Infrastructure rack-level expertise — hands-on experience managing commodities for server, storage, or networking rack assemblies at large scale (this is a must) • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex demand/supply data and translate into actionable strategies • Demonstrated ability to navigate conflict and competing priorities across multiple internal and external stakeholders • Excellent written and verbal communication skills — ability to create executive-ready materials and present to senior leadership • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field Preferred Qualifications • Hyperscale data center or cloud infrastructure experience — prior work at a hyperscaler, large cloud provider, or Tier-1 ODM/OEM is strongly preferred • Mandarin language proficiency — ability to communicate directly with suppliers and ODM partners in Mandarin (desired) • Experience with compute and storage hardware commodities (e.g., CPUs, GPUs, memory, SSDs, HDDs, PCBAs, connectors, power supplies, thermal solutions) • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and supply chain analytics tools • Experience managing supply chains across APAC, particularly in Taiwan, China, and Southeast Asia • MBA or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Research, or Engineering • APICS/ASCM certification (CSCP, CPIM) or equivalent • Track record of driving cost reduction programs and total cost of ownership (TCO) improvements
