Paralegal / Japanese Trading Company

We are seeking a paralegal for one of the Japanese Trading Company Key Responsibilities Manage contracts depository Draft and/or review contracts, legal documents and correspondences Support in the negotiation of contracts and transactions Provide advice to stakeholders on risks and legal issues Monitoring and identifying legal issues as and when they arise and recommend course of action Support in dispute resolution and legal proceedings as and when they arise Provide training to stakeholders Support in the implementation of Personal Data Protection Act or equivalent in affiliates within the Asia region Coordinate and collaborate with external legal advisers and internal departments when the need arises Support in legal research Support ISO and ISCC related matters Support in compliance related matters and corporate governance matters Attend to any other ad-hoc administrative, legal and compliance matters Requirements Bachelor's degree in law (LLB) / Diploma holder in legal studies or law and management (or equivalent) Attention to detail and meticulous Strong sense of responsibility and initiative Good understanding in Company Law, Contract Law and data privacy law Ability to conduct legal research Ability to work independently and as part of a team Fluent in English to review contracts and communicate with clients in Asia region However as some contracts are in Chinese depending on the clients' countries, therefore knowledge in Chinese language is plus OTHER INFORMATION: Location: Central Working days: 5 days Salary: S$5,000 and Bonus (salary will commensurate according to experience & qualifications) The Company strives to achieve employee satisfaction and provides conducive working environment, attractive incentives and remuneration to all staff.
