Job Summary The Assistant Cook supports meal preparation and cooking under the Head Cook or Chef while maintaining a clean, organized kitchen that meets food safety standards in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals following instructions from the Head Cook or Chef to ensure timely service Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen to comply with food safety and hygiene standards Apply basic food preparation and hygiene practices to ensure safe handling of ingredients Collaborate effectively with team members to support smooth kitchen operations Stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights to handle kitchen tasks efficiently Preferred competencies and qualifications Four years of experience in a kitchen or food service environment is an advantage
