Junior Data Engineer

Job Description We are looking for a Data Engineer with approximately 2 years of experience to develop, maintain, and optimize scalable data pipelines and cloud-based analytics platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT development, cloud data platforms, and modern data technologies, while working closely with cross-functional teams to support analytics and AI-driven initiatives. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest, transform, and deliver data from multiple sources. Build and support batch and near real-time ETL/ELT workflows, ensuring data quality, reliability, and performance. Develop and optimize SQL and Python-based data transformations for analytics and reporting. Manage and enhance modern data platforms, including data lakes, lakehouses, and data warehouses. Implement data quality checks, monitoring, logging, and performance optimization. Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand and deliver data requirements. Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and CI/CD processes. Stay current with modern data engineering practices and emerging AI-enabled data technologies. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering or a related role. Strong proficiency in Python and SQL . Experience designing and developing ETL/ELT pipelines. Hands-on experience with one or more cloud data platforms such as Snowflake , Microsoft Fabric , AWS (Glue, Redshift) , Azure Data Lake , or Google BigQuery . Good understanding of data modeling concepts, including star schema and dimensional modeling. Experience with tools such as Airflow , DBT , Spark , or Dask is an advantage. Familiarity with Git , CI/CD , and version control practices. Exposure to BI tools such as Power BI or Apache Superset . Basic knowledge of cloud security, access management, and cost optimization.
