Gtaw Welder

Job Title: GTAW Welder (Malaysian) Salary Range: $1500 - $2200 per month Reporting To: Production Manager Minimum Qualifications and Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in performing Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIC) on stainless steel piping, pressure vessels and heat exchangers. Experience in a fabrication workshop environment is preferred. Required Skills and Responsibilities: Able to perform GTAW (TIG) welding on stainless steel piping and components in accordance with approved welding procedures. Able to weld small-diameter stainless steel piping of 1 inch and above in the 6G position. Able to interpret welding procedure and welding symbols. Able to prepare and fit-up joints together with fitter prior to welding to meet dimensional and quality requirements. Able to produce welds that comply with applicable codes and quality standards to fulfil 100% Radiography Test (RT) requirements. Familiar with welding equipment, consumables and proper handling of stainless steel materials. Able to carry out visual inspection of completed welds and rectify welding defects when required. Comply with workplace safety requirements and maintain good housekeeping practices. Preferred Attributes Possess a positive work attitude and willingness to learn.
